We have added a new special Avatar Item to the Avatar Shop: [Lucky the Loving].



[Lucky the Loving], the Avatar Item, is based on Lucky, the real cat, that I have been spending the last 16.5 years with. I have had the immense pleasure of being his dad since he was just ~8 weeks old. While he always seems to have resting 'angry' face, he is the most loving and sweetest cat I've had. You can just pick him up at any point, hold him like a baby, and he won't complain. He spends virtually every night sleeping next to my pillow and, when it's extra cold at night, even cuddling me like a teddy bear lol.



Sadly, throughout the past year, his kidneys have started to fail. After many vet visits, medications, and special prescription foods, it seems like we have exhausted all real options to salvage his kidney function. He is still with us and still chugging on like a champion, but I do not know how much longer we will have together. We are doing everything we can to balance his treatment of the condition with his qualify of life at this point. So as long as he keeps wanting to carry on, we'll keep doing what we can to help him and treasure every extra day, week, or month that we get with him.

Unfortunately, this has all been a very expensive endeavor lol. As I'm sure almost everyone knows, all of these treatments get very expensive, very quick. So I had [Lucky the Loving] commissioned and it is now available for purchase in the Avatar Shop and he can now be immortalized in the world of Sylestia. For anyone wanting to purchase this Avatar Item, know that you are helping to mitigate these expenses and I, and Lucky, are incredibly appreciative of you.

On this special day of love, take an extra moment to hug your loved ones (whether covered in fur or skin =P). Time is fleeting. Cherish what time you do get to spend with those you love and never take any of it for granted.

My Lucky, orange tabby, turned 16 last month. When I can afford to be able to purchase some diamonds, that is one thing I will get for my avatar.

Lucky is a gorgeous cat and seems to have just as beautiful of a personality. I wish you and Lucky the best, and that you get as much time as possible with the beautiful boy. It's obvious he's dearly loved.

I know its such a painful time, and my heart goes out to you. 16 years filled with the joy and memories youve shared, the little quirks, the quiet moments, and the pure companionship thats what a great life is all about and Lucky has definitely had an incredible life, full of love and comfort because of you.

Bought as soon as I woke up and saw this post. Lucky reminds me of the cat we had when I was growing up. Old Smoke kitty was there before I was born and lived till the ripe old age of 18. He had thyroid issues and we fought them for 2yrs before he passed away. I remember my dad never really went out of his way for pets, but for Smoke he bought special cat food and set up a private space for Smoke inside. The only time I ever saw my dad cry over a pet was when Smoke passed away.

I hope you and Lucky have much more time together. He looks like a very special, very sweet little buddy. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your precious Lucky. <3

My cat also had kidney problems (chronic kidney disease). He passed away many years ago. It's so touching that you added Lucky to the Avatar Shop!

That is sad but now Lucky can be with us in Sylestia :)
