I know this question was answered in the tutorial, but I got a bit confused when seeing the option to feed. By what I got from the tutorial, your pets eat automatically if you have feed. So I ran out of feed today, and ended up buying a full amount of exceptional feed. Then I went to one of my Sylestis, and had the option to 'feed sylesti'. I clicked the button out of confusion, and went back to see that 3 units of my feed had been dropped down. What did I actually do? lol.
Is it possible to overfeed your sylesti?
What happens if you have no food for `n` days?
Will they die?
How do I know if `all` of my pets got food (lets say I run out of food-how can I tell everyone was fed instead of just a few)?
How much food do they eat per day (obviously my one sylesti, when I clicked feed took 3).
Does that mean that Exceptional food is the better buy because they eat 3 per day?
Does the food type have any benefit to the sylesti itself(stat increase or anything)?
Sorry for all of the questions. At least they're all on the same topic. If it's possible is there a way to re-read the tutorial sections? I have a small reading disability where I read something, and often forget what I've read, and it helps when I can re-read.

@Butterfly
I guess the easiest way of explaining would be to just describe how everything works.
Each pet in your stables eats 1 hunger unit per day. If you view a pet's profile you can see their hunger bar. The hunger bar shows their current health and their maximum health. If a pet's current health reaches 0 they will become malnourished. This will give them a stat debuff and prevent them from doing certain actions. If you want to force feed a pet rather than waiting until midnight, you can do that on the profile. It will use your available stock to feed the pet to it's maximum.
The difference between food types is that you can get more hunger units per food unit. So the exceptional food will last 3x as long as the normal food type.
I hope that clears everything up.

Oh! I think I understand now. I'm not sure how I misunderstood the whole thing, my apologies. I didn't see the hunger bar before either, probably because I haven't really taken a look at the 'genetics' part of any of my sylestis yet. Thank you very much.
