I actually just signed up for this website the other day: https://www.paigeeworld.com/u/taptothebeat and will probably be using it over deviantart, as I like the UI a lot better.

To ping someone you can either
(1) click the @ button in the bottom right corner of their post.
(2) In your post (above the Bold/Italics/Underline buttons, it says "Ping Users." Type the usernames there. I write "@username," in my posts because you can't actually see pings for other people. So If someone looked at this post, they would not see that I am pinging you if I had not written "@Crazybaka," and might get confused.

Sorry if that was confusing. @_@
