OK, I can't find the thread that explains the existence of Nova Pulse, The Strangely Mutated Qitari (Edit: Many thanx to Cherryblossom19876, who found the thread that explains why Nova Pulse exists.)--

In brief, the Star-crossed Griffi is a type of Themed Griffi. One can look them up in Advanced Search. When Nova Pulse's parents were bred together to create her, someone else bred two Star-crossed Griffies at that same moment, and each egg got the other's traits. That Griffi is Pet ID# 1036019.

This is why Nova Pulse looks nothing like her parents. She's literally a Star-crossed Qitari. I don't own her, but her owner is letting me breed pets to her to try to get as close as possible to an entire line of Star-crossed Qitaries. They will never be 100% Purebred Star-crossed--Nova Pulse will always be the only 100% Star-crossed Qitari--but I'm going to see how close I can get.

"Perfect Tommy"

I used Lesser and Greater Dyes on Perfect Tommy to get all of his colors within Star-crossed Griffi color parameters. Since he is Tamed, I also used a Greater Mutator to give him Stardust Wings.



"Long Feng"

After my experience with using dye on Perfect Tommy, detailed in my "Colors, Parents & Children, Essences and Dyes" Project thread, I quickly gave up on Lesser Dyes and just used Greater Dyes on Long Feng. OK, his Eye Color is technically outside the Star-crossed Griffi Eye Color parameters--by a single point in the Green area. I couldn't justify spending yet another Greater Dye just to try and change an Eye Color of R:005 G:073 B:244 solely to try and get that G number up to 74+.

By the way, in case anyone reading this thread has noticed--you are perfectly correct that Nova Police and Galactica have no business whatsoever getting Vis Stardust Wings!

If you read the thread that explains why Nova Pulse even exists, you'll see mention of a "blank spot" in her traits. When she hatched, her traits looked like this--

Gene One: Reindeer
Gene Two: None
Gene Three: Striped Scales
Mutation One: Gnarled Horn
Mutation Two:
Mutation Three: Dragon Whiskers

This was before the Qitari Re-Vamp, when some Qitari traits were in different locations. Her Mutation Two slot didn't even have the word "None"! There was nothing but a blank.

Apparently, this caused each of Nova Pulse's offspring with Perfect Tommy (who had Vis Stardust Wings) to inherit their father's Mutation Two trait twice (since they couldn't get any Mutation Two trait at all from their mother).

After the Qitari Re-Vamp, it appears that Nova Pulse's owner was allowed to pick location for two extra Trait points, which eliminated the "blank slot."

Therefore, Nova Police and Galactica are (as far as I know) the only pets in Sylestia who ever inherited two trait points in the same slot from the same parent.

She is Nova Pulse's daughter by Long Feng and belongs to Bumblebreeze.
