How to Upload Non-Sylestia Pictures
There may be pictures that you want to post that don't come from Sylestia (may be a picture saved on your computer for example).
To get them to the internet, you have to upload them to an image host.
I will be using imgur.com as an image host. It's a fairly popular site for uploading images.
The best part is that you don't have to create an account to upload pictures.
So feel free to use imgur to upload what you need!
1. Go to the site.
What you're looking for is on the top of the screen, where there's a button that says upload images on the upper left side.
2. Click upload images, and select your images from your computer (or wherever you're getting the picture from).
A box will pop up asking where you want to get the image from. I'll be specifying two ways to select your image!
A) Click Browse your Computer, and a new box will pop up. You can go to the file where you want to get the image from (in your computer drives), then once you selected it, you can click "Open".
B) From an already-open window of your computer, click, hold down, and drag the image onto the browser.
If you want to upload multiple pictures, you may. :)
For Windows, you can hold down the Ctrl key and select multiple pictures.
3. Click Start Upload.
You should see this appear after selecting your picture:
Just click Start Upload and it'll upload the picture to its server and making an image URL for it. :)
4. Done! Look for the Direct Link to use it.
The resulting image link (which usually ends in .png, or .jpg, or even .gif) can be used on Sylestia or be sent to anyone, and when they click the link (or if its in [ img ] tags), they'll see the picture you uploaded. :)

How to Post Your Image!
So say you have your image:
http://i.imgur.com/NKfehIj.png
This can be posted on different places!
For the forums, profile, and PMs, it's usually within IMG tags. It will look like:
You can either:
A) type the tags around the URL manually, or
B) paste the URL, highlight the URL, then click the IMG button
Here's a gif of how to do Step B!
Which, when put in a forum/About Me code/PMs, will result in your picture being shown:

Ah, hm, I never had that before. Was the image you were uploading a typical image file (png, jpg, gif) or a different format (tiff for instance)?
If that's the case, then I'd recommend using another photo uploader.
Photobucket requires a login, I think.
Tinypic doesn't; however, it renders pictures low quality, and linking to them tends to be...tedious. (clicking a tinypic link to get to the picture doesn't load instantly)
An alternative is installing programs that can take screenshots and instantly upload them to the web to become images, such as installing Gyazo or Lightshot.
Other users may have different ways to upload their media, but those are the alternatives that I can think off the top of my head. Gyazo and Lightshot work for me.
I used to use Photobucket, but I found it really tedious, because when you try to load the image directly, it links you to the website instead, which loads all its ads and extra features and takes longer.
Hope this helps!

Can you resize these images? (like in sylestia, there's a &size= section)
