Here is a small dilemma I have...right now I am tasked with defeating 10 enemies in Esior Fields but there is a tiny problem.
Mainly that I cannot gain levels if I cannot win battles and I can't win if my creature is at level 1 and all the other "enemies" are at levels much higher which means the creature I have gets the snot kicked out of it.
SO....are there other ways to gain levels?
ALSO...how many pets can I have with me at one time..
FURTHERMORE...how many times can one use the generator? Only once? Any other pets have to be caught?

It sounds like you might be in the Festival Zone instead of the Tutorial Zone. The Festival Zone is a minimum of Level 10 so I would suggest completing the first 2 actual zones first before even trying it. You can access the regular zones by viewing the World Map under Explore.
Your pets can level up from battling, completing missions, and from XP Orbs.
You can battle with 3 pets at a time, but you must unlock each additional slot. You unlock the slots basically by progressing the storyline until it becomes available to you and then you purchase the upgrade with Gold.
You can generate as many pets as you want - they just require you to have an Essence. Essences can be found throughout the game, but they are quite rare. You can also purchase them directly from the Diamond Shop.

I already completed the tutorial with Jinxie, if that is what you mean. After I did what it said then it indicated I could go to the quest board to go on missions.
Umm..what other zones are you talking about because after the Jinxie thing all I can go to is the town quest board or the market...

The "Tutorial" technically runs all the way through midway or Trollsblight Caverns (the 2nd zone).
Continue doing what she tells you to do and it will unlock the first zone: Esior's Fields (the regular version).

Well that is the problem. Jinxie says nothing except telling me that I am "ready" to enter Sylesti and that I should now visit the quest board, which I do and all I see is two from Sheriff Whats-its-Face...
Besides the town there is nothing on the map for me to go to. Veridian Meadows only shows Esior Haven...

You have to accept those quests to unlock the first zone.

I see. This little detail was not really mentioned anywhere. Thanks for the help. :)

Yea. The tutorial isn't very good. =(
We plan on completely overhauling it for our relaunch and it will be made significantly better. Unfortunately, that doesn't help you very much atm. =P

I've found doing the missions in the first town really help me level up my low level pets, especially when I have level 0 pets and I want to be able to fight them in the first area where it is at least level 10s.
You start off only being able to do 2 mission at a time, but you can purchase more mission slots in the plaza. In the first town click on "Town Barracks"
On that page there should be 2 level 0 missions. For these it doesn't matter if the pet is level 0, you assign a pet to a mission and for an hour they are unavailable. Once you complete the mission they should have gained a few levels. If you do that a couple times you should have a couple pets that are high enough to fight in the first area comfortably.
*Once the mission has been completed, you go to the mission log menu item under "Explore" and you will see a list of mission you are currently on and can click "Complete" when the mission is done to get your reward.
I hope this was helpful!
