I don't know how to capture a pet. I need to for a quest. How do you do it?

For that particular quest, you don't have to capture a pet (I don't think)
But, if you wish to capture a pet, you need to buy a trap from the market (about 1,000 gold)
And equip. To equip it, go to account (top bar) ---> wardrobe
IN your wardrobe you have to find the net and equip it below.
Once you equip it, you will be able to use them during battle ^^

It says to use the capture ability during a battle.

Ok! Then you'll have to equip your trap.
Account --> wardrobe --> Find the trap in your bag --> equip the trap (on the bottom).

Nevermind. I came across a creature and she said she had given me a trap and I caught it. Thanks for the help though.

Yes, that's what I meant by not "capturing" a pet earlier. You just keep searching.
Hopefully you know how to really capture a pet now!
