Hey, I'm brand new to the site. Never knew anyone who played or anything, so I'm completely in the dark but for the tutorial and what I can find on the forum. I play many different video games, so I get the rpg reference, but I'm doing a lot of stumbling around and spending time just trying to figure out how to do something.

I've spent all of my money on revival droughts because this boss, the bandit and his two overseers, kill my pets every time. It's painfully slow leveling in the trollblight caverns and I have no other quests to do.

What's going wrong? Why can't I get over this part of the quest with two level 15's? I'm giving one a healer/pally type build and the other a tanky kind of build. Is that kind of dynamic even necessary for this game? Also, how can I get money aside from selling items and finding it? I just accidently participated in an event and got money for that, but there has to be a stable way to make money that I can invest in?

Thanks, for any and all advice!

Doing missions is an easy way to earn gold, get items, and level up your pets.
There's an excellent visual guide to reccomended builds floating around the threads somewhere, I just can't find it at the moment. The basic builds are tank (always the first pet in your party), mage, and fighter. I would strongly reccomend sending your pets on missions to increase their levels.

Thank you! I wasn't sure about the missions option until now, I'll check them out!

Hey, Sonorus, I don't know if you've made it past Fungus Grove, but I noticed a way you can improve your pet's combat performance fairly easily. The trick is to align your pet's Equipment with the pet's strongest attribute.

For example, here's your vixen Gallantrix--

The green arrows point out that her base Strength (15) is higher than her base Intelligence (14). When Strength is higher than Intelligence, you have a pet that should focus on Physical rather than Magical attacks.

However, Gallantrix is wearing Esior's Attuned Relic, which gives her a Magical rather than a Physical bonus. Also, it fails to boost her Strength, boosting Intelligence instead (as well as Agility, Dexterity, and Health). This is not a good Relic for her.

However, look at her blue Faded Bracelet of the Assassin. It boosts her Intelligence by 11 yet boosts her Strength by twice as much (22 points). This is a good Accessory for her.

If you check the rest of her Equipment, you'll see that her Armor is fine, but her Faded Bracelet of the Illusionist is just like her Relic; it boosts her Intelligence more than it boosts her Strength.

So, before you take a pet adventuring, take a close look at what each bit of the pet's Equipment does for the pet. Make sure each bit is appropriate for that pet's best attribute.

Feel free to ping me if you have a question about all this.

I was following a tactic I picked up from another game, and was just stacking one stat (agility). I thought that might work for this game too but it looks like there some stuff I missed haha. I didn't realize that had a greater effect! Lol, Thank you!
