When you are new to Sylestia, auctions can seem intimidating. You may see people bidding over a million gold for one pet!

So here is an auction "with training wheels." You are only allowed to bid if your account is no more than 90 days old at the time you place your first bid. It begins Monday, 20Jul15, at 12:01 am Sylestia time and ends at 11:49 pm, Sylestia time, on Friday, 24Jul15.

To prevent sniping, the final bid does not count as final unless it stands for 15 minutes. So if someone tops the highest bid at 11:55 pm on the 24th, the end time "resets," and the auction will actually end at 12:10 am on the 25th...unless someone tops that bid at, for example, 12:06 am, which resets the end time to 12:21 am, etc., etc., etc., until a final bid stands unchallenged for a full 15 minutes.

If your account is less than two weeks old, you are allowed to bid, but I advise against it. Instead, I suggest that you watch the auction to see how it works.

Pets up for bid appear in the next post. Don't bid until the auction officially starts. Remember, when you post a bid, tell me which pet you're bidding on!

Remember, one point of these auctions (other than getting more Themed pets into the hands of newer players) is to let people learn how auctions work. Most experienced players can tell at least one story about the time they didn't read all the rules of an auction and missed out on a pet they really wanted...or paid a LOT more for a pet than they had to.
