I know there are a lot of people that like to hold on to certain pets for later sale, and a lot of people that purchase pets like to name them themselves, so, the auto release system that's available in the hatcheries brings up a bit of a question.
Does it make a difference if a pet is already named versus an un-named pet when buying?
Personally, I don't mind a named pet, but I have a horrible time coming up with names for them, and since re-naming pets is a bit pricey for the philter(100diamonds) or a rare drop from games/battle, and the broker prices, having wanting to keep pets for sale but still use the hatchery filter is a little... hard for me, because I'm terrible at naming pets, haha.

Can't you still move pets over manually while they're adolescents? I think the auto-release only kicks in once they become adults and would be forcibly moved into a stable, so you can just move whichever ones you want to keep. (I'm afraid to do it that way myself because I just know I'd forget to move one over.)

If I'm buying to to breed it, no I don't mind at all. But if I'm buying to add it to my main team of pets, an already named pet might make me turn away. That's mostly because I have a pattern for how I name my main pets though, I imagine it might not bothers some others.

I honestly don't care if a pet is named when I buy it, as long as it's nothing like "big booty jones" or something uh... awkward... like that.
But, then again, 99% of my own pets are un-named so who am I to worry about that kind of thing. XD I do wish that more people were less concerned with names, because it de-values the pets often times in trading, which is sad for the pets.

I retract my previous comment, I would be doubly likely to buy a pet named Big Booty Jones.

In my head I know this pet would be a Morkko.
Big Booty Jones the Morkko.

If it's a good name I don't mind. I like to name my own pets but I'm bad at coming up with names so an already nice named pet is great for me.
