Is this a normal happening, or is it fairly rare? Has anyone else come across an Elite pet?

Next up, gotta find an Epic-level pet.

Rarity is determined by the sylesti's colours. The stars only represent their difficulty at that time in battle. It does not affect their base stats after capture. So a 4 star uncommon is no different than a 2 star uncommon of the same species after capture. Of course, in battle, a 4 star uncommon is harder to defeat than a 2 star uncommon

common: grey
Uncommon: Green
Rare: Blue
Epic: purple

So in theory, it is better to catch epic coloured pets because they show/carry more genes. Though, congradulations on catching a cute bulbori :3 She looks very nice :3

I already know all that. 4-star doesn't equal epic rarity in traits, hence why i called it Elite, as the stars made it so. I provided a screenshot precisely because the stars don't actually matter much-- I just found it to be a nice surprise as I'd never seen a four-star pet in the wild before. Previously, the only ones I'd seen at that level belonged to bosses.
