We have changed how the regen tick functions for pets' health regen and mana decay.
Previously, this ticked once every 15 minutes and just regenerated a flat 25% of a pet's max health and decayed mana. The script would look at only currently active players so those who were offline wouldn't have their pets regenerate. This was initially done because of performance reasons.
We have improved the script so that it can run once every 5 minutes and also changed the amount of health that pets regenerate. There is now a flat amount that all pets restore plus extra the higher level a pet is.
Mana now also decays by 10 every 5 minutes.
If a pet is in a battle, the tick will skip that pet. Additionally, once the MegaZone is released, pets exploring that zone whether they are in a battle or not, will not receive the tick.
Overall, the new script should run smoother and the regen tick shouldn't be so sporadic and instead should be much smoother than it was previously. It is also no longer percentage based, so pets with high max health will take longer to regenerate to max health than pets with lower max health.

Speaking of regen....will that fix the issue where I can't revive my pets using that button on my stables?

I don't know. I wasn't aware of any issues like that.

this sounds like a great improvement! I have to admit to being annoyed seeing my pets lose mana as it ticks down, in battle when i was trying to keep that up, lol... this alone is a great improvement!

Nice! It should help out a lot when I'm doing some leveling up or quests and I decide to wait for the tick rather than leave the zone to heal or risk a wipe trying to get to the zone healer.

From what I can tell, the amount gained per five minutes is small enough that a high-stat, well-geared pet takes much longer to regain the same amount of health. I don't think that's a positive change.
EDIT: My tank has just shy of 15,000 health, which is nowhere near what a max-stat pet with full Mythical gear would have. She now gains around 2% every five minutes, which is 6% instead of 25% every 15 minutes. Bringing her back from zero will take 250 minutes, or 4 hours and 10 minutes, instead of one hour. That's a significant negative change to my gameplay.

This was intentional to promote the use of potions and healing.
Also, your example is the very far end of the spectrum. Most pets are not tanks and most tanks are not max level with max gear.
Most pets will still regenerate to full health in about the same amount of time as they did prior.

I don't think mine is at the far end of the spectrum when you consider that the only way for a pet to lose health (other than starving) is by battling. It's true that most pets in this game aren't used for battling and therefore aren't affected either way, but that would be true of any change made to healing. You could eliminate it entirely, and it would still only affect three of my hundred-odd pets.
Every guide I've seen says that the first pet in a party should be a tank, and as far as I can tell, that's how the vast majority of players build their parties. As tanks go, mine isn't extreme - she's only one Prisma Philter removed from Tamed stats, with 2 pieces each of Legendary and Mythical gear. Any player who uses a tank (which is virtually all who have three slots unlocked) will be hugely negatively affected by this.
I like the idea of making potions more useful, but I don't think taking away something that already exists, and that many players rely on, is the best way to do that.
