Okay, i've looked through this section and have not found anything on it. Is there a pattern to defeating Vorpar? He's eating all my healing items and keeps throwing my pets overboard.

There will be an icon below him signalling that he's getting ready to throw your pets overboard. When you see this, you need to block with all your pets - any pet not blocking will be thrown overboard for quite a large number of turns.
Also, when he disappears to another plane, you need to defeat his minions as quickly as possible because any minions still left standing when he comes back to our plane will transfer their health to him - which you also don't want.

If I recall correctly, if you head west from the dock you should spot him at some point.
