I am just curious if the essence rate off of mobs will improve in the later zones?

At this time, Essences dropping from mobs is static.
However, Essences are more common out of higher level Treasure Boxes and Mission Satchels.

I also noticed, that when you are nurturing others' egglings, there is a chance that you can get essences. I managed 3 Vulnyx essences, and a Qitary essence... then after a while, it stopped, and I was nurturing non-player owned eggs... (mob or scale shop eggs? O.o)

At some point you Nurture non-player eggs yes indeed,
it's for those who actually went through all possible Eggs
and hatchlings of the player, so they can still click and
nurture for Scales and such~ :3

I think your luck just ran out oogbar lol. I've gotten essences from the non user owned ones I believe in the past. It's just that it isn't terribly likely in general. I have the most scales earned on the site and think I have gotten a total of 3 essences from nuturing. Its all luck.
