So I'm sort of stuck here. I'm not sure if I'm suppose to have a certain item or something to get past this level, because every time it asks me about which mirror I want to pick, I pick the wrong one. Are there a certain number of times I have to go through this before I get to the next level?

there is a map to that here (spoiler warning)
each color of mirror leads to a different area. it is a maze of sorts. I seriously recommend using the above mentioned map.

Oh wow, I'm really lost then. I've been doing this for like 3 weeks! How do I know where I am??

When you choose a mirror, the page should tell you what colour the room that you just entered is.
