This is something I'm looking for some advice to help guide me on the right path. I think I've figured things out now but I could be wrong. But first I should explain what I'm aiming for. I've started work on a breeding project with the aim of a four-visible by the start of the Christmas season using only enhanced essences.





Traits used are Advanced Runes (A), Tri Tails (B), Spirit Flames (C), and Regal Markings (D).

The letters A, B, C, and D represent the traits in the diagram below. Capital letters represent visible traits where lower case is for carried.

First Generation First Pair
Abc + aBc should help me get to ABC (Advanced Runes, Tri Tails, and Spirit Flames)

First Generation Second Pair
bcD + bCd should lead to BCD (Tri Tails, Spirit Flames, and Regal Markings)

The full visible results from these pairs would be bred together giving an offspring that shows two and carries two.
Second Generation First Pair
ABC + BCD = aBCd (Tri Tails and Spirit Flames will show while Advanced Runes and Regal Markings carry)


Meanwhile, there's two other first gen pairs.

First Generation Third Pair
aBd + abD to get ABD (Advanced Runes, Tri Tails, and Regal Markings)

First Generation Fourth Pair
Acd + acD to get ACD (Advanced Runes, Spirit Flames, and Regal Markings)

These other two first generation pairs will be bred to get this.
Second Generation Second Pair
ABD + ACD = AbcD (Advanced Runes and Regal Markings will show while Tri Tails and Spirit Flames carry)

This leads to the third generation being bred.
Third Generation
aBCd + AbcD should hopefully lead to ABCD


But there's more. Since I want to be certain to have plenty of these for gifts I also want to breed a second non-related set.

This would be a fourth generation.
ABCD + ABCD to give all ABCD.


Does this sound good in theory? I think this might be the easiest way to go about it aside from a lot of enhanced essences?


Things I'll be interested in buying/trading for include enhanced Zolnixi essences (the gold is frustrating enough to capture with the enhanced), dyes for fixes, and magical pies.

I've made my first two Zolnixi for the project. The male's colors didn't come out very well so I'm hoping that'll get corrected fairly easily with breeding.

Notes

The first four pairs of Zolnixi are now complete except for color corrections being needed. At this point I still need 8 more enhanced Zolnixi essences to repeat the above pairs. This will eventually lead to having two unrelated completed project Zolnixi to breed with for guaranteed complete offspring. Also needed are dyes and probably magical pies eventually. If anyone has enhanced Zolnixi essences, dyes, or magical pies for trade please let me know and I'll see what I can currently trade.


Naming

I'm looking for help on naming the above pairs (preferably Christmas based names) so it gets a little easier to keep track of things. If anyone has any name ideas I'd love to hear them. For the first male I'd like the name to be something to do with friendship.

I grabbed a whole list of Christmas words from Google, if that helps you and anyone else decide. 8D Holly and Hostess are my top two picks.

I'm with Onishouten on Noel, though. I always liked that word. And Noel happens to be a favourite character of mine in a game, haha. e__e

Your Nixi are so beautiful though~ * A* I'll totally splurge and get one when they're done, heehee~

Any thoughts on which male should be named Noel? And which female should be named Mistletoe?
