I just got a Bulbori hatchling and she is un-named. But when I try to name her, it says I need a philter of amnesia. Is this a bug or something?
Here is her link

While I haven't had the problem myself, I saw this thread on the subject. I don't know if maybe that's the problem you're having :/

Ohhh... I get it. I means to remove the name I give it, I would need a Philter of Amnesia.... I named her now, though.

Seems like the phrasing is throwing off a lot of people. XD Might be better to just remove that notice from that page...?

Well, there used to be no notice and people complained that there should be a warning... Now I add a notice and everyone's confused. -_-
Edit: Additionally, Philters of Amnesia are no longer automatically used. They must be manually used like the other philters. So there's no way to accidently use one.
If you try to name a pet and you can't, it will just simply tell you so. The confirm message is just a warning to make you confirm your action.

@Krinadon,
I have something to say, but I hope that you don't take it offensively, because I really didn't mean any offence >///< I'm just trying to convey my honest feelings to this issue. If you're still ok with it, then please read the paragraph below. If not, it's ok to skip this post of mine >///<
When the notice pops up, it says
Quote
Are you sure you wish to name this pet? A [Philter of Amnesia] is required to remove a name.
This is very misleading because (In my opinion) it's telling me that I need a Philter of Amnesia to name this pet, when in reality, I haven't named this pet yet. I think that rearranging the sentence might help people to be less misunderstood about naming pets and the consequences. For example, one could say:
Quote
Are you sure you wish to name this pet? If your pet has already been pre-named by another user, a [Philter of Amnesia] will be required to rename this pet.
It's a bit more lengthy, but I hope the point gets through >///<
Again, I mean no offence, and I just want to express my sincere opinion. >////<

@Sylvette,
With the current confirm box that I use, I'm limited to a certain length. If I write too much, the text will be bigger than the box.

Are you sure to rename this pet? A [Philter of Amnesia] will be required in the future (if you want to rename this pet again)
The words in the brackets are optional.... >//////<

How about, "A name is permanent and only removeable by a [Philter of Amnesia]." That might fit.
