Sorry about the title, wasn't sure how to explain it in one sentence. I've noticed that I ONLY get essences from nurturing when I actually open up the hatchlings actual profile page and click the image from there to nurture it. I don't know if I just have bad luck on the search page, or if there's some kind of glitch. But I nurtured 2k worth of hatchlings on the search list (the page that gives you 10 at a time to click) and got nothing but the scales for it. But if I actually open all 10 profiles by clicking the pet ID instead of the pet picture from that search, and then go on to nurture from the profile page? I get an essence in every couple hundred clicks.
So I was just wondering, is it possible to get essences without having to open everyone?

With the 3,5k Scales I got, I only got Essences two times so far - only on the search function, too. So I guess it's just bad luck on either sides xD

*laughs* Okay, that's fine, I can deal with bad luck. I just wanted to be sure it was possible to get them from the search page. Since it hadn't happened at all for me yet. Thanks for telling me it is at least possible!

Yeah I get all mine from the search page XD
I actually got 2 nixi essences in like three search refreshes apart o.O

Geeze all of you are Wu lucky! I have gotten no essences from nurturing! I have only gotten scales!!

Out of 3500 scales, I've gotten 2 essences (and that was on the search page), I've gotten 3 from battles and 3-4 in mission satchels, of which 2 were enhanced!

I get them around every like 700-1000 scales I think? I don't keep great track, but it's a pretty fair amount

I've gotten 3 essences; 2 dropped in battles, and one enhanced in a battle event satchel.
I've never got one from nurturing anywhere, and according to the site I've earned 2,626 scales.
So... I'm guessing when it says random, it means it.
But I am glad to know it is possible too, sometimes I wonder, lol.

Ok, I nurture eggs a lot and I can say for sure it is completely random. I've gotten 2 enhanced essences within 10-30 eggs apart from one another and gone over 3000 without getting anything. Mostly you get regular but it does happen. I have received a large amount (I don't keep track of totals) over time. You just have to be patient... sometimes really really patient....
