I haven't managed to figure out how to equip the stupid traps to my avatar, or use them at all. It's really ticking me off, because the Newbie Tips says to go to your wardrobe and equip it to a pet slot, but I cannot find any freaking slot to equip it to, or the trap itself. I'm really freaking confused and this is not working out. Someone help me before I kill something, please.

Sadly, our tutorial is out of date with a lot of things because we have changed so much since it was written.

We are planning a complete revamp of the tutorial and the first 2 regions of the game to make them much more welcoming.

At this point, you actually don't even have to equip traps. If they're in your Inventory, you can use them.

Once in battle, click the bag icon (or press 'I'), select a trap, select an enemy Sylesti, and that's it.

When you end the turn, you will use the trap and attempt to catch it. Traps can fail though and Sylesties can sometimes run away on a failed attempt.

Okay, sorry for freaking out. I've been trying to work it out myself for the past half hour or so, and nothing I've tried has worked. I've also tried what you said, about clicking the inventory and using the trap in the middle of battle, and a red cross in a circle has appeared, but I can't end my turn and go on to the next bit. Do I need to attack it or something?

Also, there is a Newbie Mentor Service, if you are interested. It would be a good way to answer some of your questions.

Using a trap just uses 'your' action. You still must command your pets to end the turn.

If your pets have block you can use that if you don't want to accidentally kill a pet. If not just use your weakest attacks and hope it works lol
