Here is the official announcement thread for the Fall Festival of 2016!
Start Time: Saturday, October 29th at 12:00 PM
End Time: Sunday, November 20th at 11:59 PM
The Fall Festival is not only a celebration of the yearly harvest, but also a time where Sylestians enjoy everything spooky and frightful! It is an especially celebrated time of the year because it marks the yearly return of the Ryories! Over the next two weeks, you can participate in many various activities to obtain unique rewards, to find unique pets, and most importantly to have a lot of fun!
Halloween Diamond Sale
https://www.sylestia.com/forums/?thread=40359
We will be having a Diamond Sale beginning Saturday, October 29th running through Sunday, November 6th. Please see the link above for details!
Explore the Festival Zone
http://www.sylestia.com/explore/newzone/?zone=esiorsfieldsfallfestival
This zone is recommended for players using pets of Level 10 and above!
The above will take you to the Festival Zone for the Fall Festival. Please note, if you are exploring another zone in Astryl's Vale, you will have to exit the zone first. If you are in a battle, you will have to finish your battle first.
The zone is currently host to 16 new Themed Sylesties, the Ryori, six Named, Themed Sylesti Nests, and a grove of Mysterious Pumpkins waiting to be found! Additionally, Ichabod Egret is at it again in his pursuit of the fabled Headless Horseman. Help him on his endeavor and be rewarded handsomely for your efforts. It's rumored that very rare and limited Themed Sylesties can be obtained from the Headless Horseman himself.
Roaming the Festival Zone are also a slew of Hallowed Reapers who are known to be carrying a rare Undead Dragon Hatchling amongst other festival items.
A new addition to the Fall Festival this year is Sylesti Brewing! This feature is similar to the Sylesti Garden from the Spring Festival, but with a few changes.
All players will start out with two free Cauldrons to use. You can always purchase additional one-time use Cauldrons for Diamonds, Gold, or Chocolate Coins! To begin brewing, just click on your Cauldron and fill it with broth. After that you will need to add a Themed Brew Catalyst to your brew. You can find Brew Catalysts by participating in many of the Fall Festival's features or by purchasing them directly from the Festival Shop or Diamond Shop.
Once you have your Sylesti Brew started, you will need to watch over it and keep it cooking at a good rate. Sometimes, the Brew will be out of balance and you will have to use a Brew Agent to normalize it. Doing so will decrease the amount of time the Sylesti will be required to cook.
In addition to just reducing the amount of time your Sylesti Brew takes to be ready, you can also use Brew Additives to alter characteristics about your pet!
Blood Vials: Use these to increase the amount of Traits the pet will have.
Gender Additives: Use these to determine the Gender the pet will be.
Trait Slot Additives: Use these to guarantee the presence of a Trait in the specified slot.
Siren's Tears: Use this to boost the base statistics of the pet.
Invisible Dust: Use this to give the pet a Hidden Carried Trait in a random slot.
Expedient Brew Agent: Instantly finishes the brew. It's Magic!
There are a total of 26 unique Themed Pets available from Sylesti Brewing. There are 5 Restricted Trait Majestic Themes, 7 Fabled Themes, and 14 Regular Themes.
*Note: The 5 Restricted Trait Majestic Themes are still being finished up. They are in the game and you can obtain them no problem. Just some of the artwork is missing or isn't fully edited. We hope to have this finished very soon*
Lastly, there are a handful of unique Titles available from Brewing!
Premier Brewmaster / Premier Brewmistress: First to finish a Sylesti Brew (using the instant growth does not count).
Majestic Brewmaster / Majestic Brewmistress: Finish a Majestic Sylesti Brew.
Fabled Brewmaster / Fabled Brewmistress: Finish a Fabled Sylesti Brew.
Brewmaster / Brewmistress: Finish a Regular Sylesti Brew.
Wondrous Warlock / Wondrous Witch: Finish one of all 26 Sylesti Brews.
Mojo for Hexamora is returning again for this year's festival. Hexamora is a Witch Doctor and a Mojo Master. Visit them and they will tell you about the art of Mojo Collecting. Even better, they will be holding a total of 32 contests throughout the entire festival where you can compete against your fellow players to see who can collect the most Mojo of a specific species over the course of an 8 hour period. Those who place in the top 20 for each contest will receive a unique Exclusive Themed Pet from Hexamora and the Title: The Hallowed.
In order to collect Mojo, you must first obtain a [Mojo Collector]. These can be found from other features of the festival, purchased from the Festival Shop for Chocolate Coins, or purchased from the Diamond Shop for Diamonds. Once you have Mojo Collectors, visit the Fall Festival Zone and enter a battle against the species of the current contest. Then, use your Mojo Collector to steal the Sylesti's Mojo! If successful, you will gain one point towards the current contest. Take an important note, the lower the Health of the target, the much higher chance the Mojo Collector has of working!
In addition to the contests, when you steal a Sylesti's Mojo, you have a small chance of obtaining an Exclusive Themed Pet of the current contest automatically! Lastly, if you collect enough Mojo, you may even become a Mojo Master yourself.
Trick or Treating is back! Visit all fellow Sylestians with your best Trick or Treat. Hosts can then either give you a complimentary Piece of Candy or give you a personal item (from a list of specific items) from their Inventory. As a Trick or Treater, your goal is to collect each of the 21 unique Pieces of Candy. Once you have at least one of each, you can turn them into a Handful of Candy, which can be opened for awesome rewards, including Avatar Items from an Exclusive Avatar Set: Misfortune Kitty!
You can view the status of your candy collecting by viewing your Trick or Treating profile. There are unique Titles that are available by participating. They are as follows:
-Trickster: Trick or Treat 500 times as a Visitor
-Candy Dispenser: Hand out 500 Pieces of Candy
-The Sweet Tooth: Create 5 Handfuls of Candy
-The Kind-Hearted: Hand out a Personal Item
The Haunted House is back! Purchase an entry with either Diamonds, Gold, or Chocolate Coins! You will have the opportunity to search for various hidden treasure including the Exclusive Morganna's Expedient Brew Agent (Instantly Finish a Sylesti Brew), Avatar Items from the Exclusive Set: Ghostly Pirate, Brewing Catalysts (including the Majestic Brew Catalyst), and other Brewing and Festival Items.
There are three stages to the Haunted House. In the first stage, you must explore the Gloomy Cemetery and find a Ghostly Key. If you find a Ghostly Key, you can unlock the next stage: the Haunted First Floor! From there, you must sweep away the dust and cobwebs to find more hidden treasure and another Ghostly Key. If you find another key, you can unlock the final stage: the Creepy Basement! In here is where the best items are located including Morganna's Expedient Brew Agent, Majestic Brew Catalysts, Legendary Ghostly Pirate Avatar Items, and premium Diamond Shop items!
We have also made some additional changes to how the feature works from last year. They are as follows:
- Increased the amount of searches available per Stage.
- Can now, once per Stage, purchase additional searches when you run out.
- Available Prizes from the current Stage are displayed for your convenience.
- Can use a search to remove an Object. The better prizes are often covered by Objects.
- The chances of reaching Stage 3 are significantly increased.
- Brand new Prizes, as listed above.

I guess obsessively checking up on the site before the fest started was a good idea. Bummer that it'll be delayed a full day and all but I'm sure it's for the best. :)
Really looking forward to when it does start anyway, thanks in advance for another great fest you guys.

Hello Krin!
As the Leaderboards are launching immediately with the start of the fest tomorrow, are you able to tell us if the Leaderboard pets are set to be the Mojo pets or a new set so we can plan accordingly? :)
Thanks for your hard work as always! I'm sure we'll all survive another 24 hours.
all aboard the fall fest hype train

Hi Kenywi,
The mojo contests are a special feature of the Fall Festival. You can find mojo collectors in chests, dropped by bandits etc. You then use these against any of the 'pet of the day' species - so any aurleon you meet on the first day, for example, instead of killing it, trapping it or running from it, you can use a mojo collector to try to trap its 'mojo'. Like any trap they don't always succeed. For each day there is a leaderboard and the people who catch the most mojo of that species are rewarded with a special limited version of that pet, in the case of the aurleon, a Nevermore Aurleon. The first few get a pet with better vis, like on the other leaderboards, and all of the first 20 get a pet with at least 1 vis.
Obviously some pets, like the ryori, are more highly sought after, so some people save up their mojo collectors for a specific pet, and nephs are really hard to get!
See you in festival chat,
Falk

Ahhh... No aeris :)
The pets that can be 'mojoed' are the 14 non-fabled breeds plus the ryoris, because fall is their season, and the nephs, because they are always around, in minute quantities.
However, last year there was a Haunted House where, if you were lucky, you might find eggs of the other fabled pets. That was the place to get hold of Flaming Soul Aeridinis last time. I imagine this, or something like this, may be repeated. All will be revealed tomorrow! Can't wait :)
