The Restricted Traits and Majestic Themes Lists
What are Restricted Traits?
Originally intended as one way to tide over breeders and collectors during Sylestia's slow progression towards its exit from Beta.
There are three variants of Restricted Traits, Regular, All-Species, and Lost Grove/Wild Restricted.
Species-specific/Regular Res traits are grouped into Sets (eg, Windchaser traits on luffox). They can be Disrupted onto a pet using Restricted Trait Disruptors, Generated when using a Mystical or Divine Essence if in possession of the correct Disruptor, or obtained on a Majestic theme.
In a unique case for a species-specific set, puffadore's Angelic set can be Mutated onto a pet by use of the Lovely Mutator.
All-Species Res traits are singular traits and do not have Sets or Majestic themes. The Valentines Lace and Lucky Dust traits have Mutators in addition to Disruptors.
Wild Res traits can be found on any wild pet in the Lost Grove including Egglings. These traits can be visible, carried, or hidden. They can rarely be obtained through certain events.
When encountered, if you have a genetic scanner (unknown if it needs to be an Exceptional scanner or not) it will say "Your Genetic Scanner has detected a Rare Trait!".
Visible Restricted Wild Traits can be extracted from unbred Tamed pets using a [Trait Extractor (Restricted Wild)] to obtain a Trait Scroll.
They can be generated onto a pet when using a Mystical or Divine Essence if the correct scroll is in the inventory.
Lesser and Greater Mutators and Philter of Trait Disruption (Themed) cannot give a pet Restricted Traits. If a Non-Majestic theme has a restricted trait and a Philter of Disruption is used, it will lose the Restricted trait in exchange for a regular trait. A Majestic theme can only get traits from its own trait set when Disrupted.
While they are limited in their origin, they pass down like any normal trait when a pet is bred.
In the Generator, these traits are intended to appear in red text (although depending on browsers, they may not), and denoted with a * at the trait name.
They can be generated via essence with the correct disruptor(s) and/or scrolls in the inventorty. Trying to generate them onto a pet without the associated RTD or Scroll will result in an error, though there was an exception to this rule in certain All-Species Traits for limited times (see Post #2)
Inheritance
Restricted traits are passed on from parent to offspring the same way as any regular trait.

The Restricted Traits Posts show images of each of the traits of a set separately. The colour palettes were chosen to show each colour that plays a part in each trait.
Additionally these posts list when the sets were released, how they were obtained, and any subsequent re-releases of the Set.
The Majestic Themes Posts show the Male and Female images of each theme with all Restricted traits of their set visible.

Restricted Sets and What Their Themes Are
These traits have been obtainable on certain themes that could be created or otherwise obtained during Festivals.
They can be given to a pet using a Set-specific Restricted Trait Disruptor if the pet in question is an Exclusive, Tamed or Offspring.
If a player has a Mystical or Divine Essence and at least one of the correct Disruptor, they can Generate a pet with traits from that set, at a cost of one Disruptor per trait.
All current non-Lost Grove Sets now have a Disruptor.
Lost Grove traits are Extractable from Gen1 pets as Trait Scrolls via Trait Extractor
These will be organised as such:
[Species Name]:
- [Restricted Set Name]; [Themes which have the Set]
All Species:
- Lucky Dust
- Spring Blossoms
- Valentines Lace
Aeridini:
- Lunar; Spring Moon, Autumn Moon, Fortuitous Lunar
- Natureguard; Natureguard, Rosewood Natureguard, Embervine Natureguard
- Spring Arcanist; Spring Arcanist, Rose Arcanist, Vintage Arcanist
- Grove Warden; LG Wild Trait
- Wind Serpent; Wind Serpent, Storm Serpent

All-Species Restricted Traits
Mutators
- The Mutators can be used on any species.
- Can only be used on Tamed pets.
- A total of one genetic Mutator can be used on a pet.
Lovely Mutator
From: Festival of Love (Febuary)
Traits:
Valentines Lace gene (Restricted. All species)
Lovely Hearts mutation (Not Restricted. Species: Bulbori, Luffox, Puffadore, Zolnixi)
Angelic traits (Restricted, Puffadore only, cannot be obtained via Generator Essence)
Lucky Mutator From: Fortune Festival (March)
Traits:
Lucky Dust mutation (Restricted. All species)
Lucky Runes gene (Not Restricted. Species: All except Aeridini)
Generation via Essence
Valentines Lace and Lucky Dust were unique among the Restricted Traits in that they are the only ones that were able to be generated onto pets- however, the ability to do this was restricted to their associated mini-festivals (Festival of Love and Fortune Festival.)
During their respective mini-fests, they were 'unlocked' in the generator and appeared in regular black text rather than red during this time.
As of the 2020 minifests, this option seems to have been disabled.
Spring Fest Shared Garden: Spring Blossoms Event
Spring Blossoms is also an All-Species trait, but does not have a Mutator, only a Disruptor
From: Spring Fest 2019, 2020
How: Special Event made possible to find pets with this trait.
The event that was first introduced for Springfest 2019, where the players of the community could work together to cause special flowers to grow.
Each Flower correlates to one species, and all species have a flower (including out-of-season Fabled, Ny'vene, and Puffadore). Once a flower is 'grown' it would be added to an Event Queue, each one being active for a period of time, and then a cooldown before the next one in the queue activated. When a species was 'active', the encounter rate of that species as a whole would increase, and it would be possible to find pets of that species with the Spring Blossoms trait.
This is the only time that ny'vene and puffadore have been obtainable from wild encounters (although they can now be very, very, very rarely encountered in the Temple section of the Lost Grove), and the only time seasonal fableds have been available in the wild outside of their season (again discounting the new addition of the LG Temple), though these pets were strictly limited in appearance to those with the Spring Blossoms trait, which had a very low chance of appearing, akin to themed ferrikki.
SB pets always have 3 stars, are always either Epic or Legendary rarity, and always have visible Spring Blossoms trait.

Restricted Trait Disruptors
- These Disruptors can only be used on their correlating species,
- Usable on pets that are Tamed (Wild caught or obtained from the Scale/Puffadore/Ny'vene shops), Bred, or Exclusive,
- Generated (Starter/Essence) pets are ineligible,
- They cannot be used on pets which already have that Trait Set in their genetics,
- They will not change the Trait Point Count of the sylesti they are used on- the disruptor will either replace one visible trait, or erase one random visible trait if it is placing the restricted trait in an empty trait slot.
- Carried Traits are ineligible for replacement,
- They cannot overwrite other Restricted traits (including trait slots where the Restricted is a Hidden),
- The Trait given to the sylesti is randomly selected from the associated trait set,
- Using a Trait Disruptor (Themed) on a Majestic Theme will shuffle their Restricted traits among the traits of their set, never replace them with a trait not of that set,
BUT
- Using a Trait Disruptor (Themed) on a non-Majestic Theme that has had a Restricted Disruptor used on it will remove the Restricted trait for a regular one. This can be used to make multiple attempts to get a particular Restricted Trait from a set.
- Majestic and PB Majestic pets cannot have any Restricted Disruptors used on them, as it is impossible for them to have any eligible (non-Majestic) traits for the Disruptor to overwrite.
- The number of RTDs used on a pet is limited only be the number of visible, non-majestic traits that it has and the number of restricted trait sets it has
- If the player is using a Mystical or Divine Essence in the Generator, they can generate Restricted Traits on the pet at the cost of one RTD (or Trait Scroll) of the matching set per trait. This does mean that a pet can be Generated with multiple traits from the same set.
