I go to inventory where my trap is..but when I try to unlock it so it goes into my wardrobe, the use item button doesn't even highlight..am I doing something wrong? I cant figure out how to equipt this trap...

You no longer need to equip traps to use them (I'm guessing that somewhere it still tells you that you need to equip it?)
You just have to have them in your inventory and you can use whichever trap you'd like.

The tutorial is outdated. In battle there a bag.(unless it's the new system it has a manage button with everything) click it, select the trap, select the pet, tell your pets what to do,(Blocking is the best.), and then end turn.
