How do i post pictures that i have taken and upload them on to my profile ?

First you need to get the Image onto an online source ( I use Imgur.com)
Then you click on the pic(Left click is what I use on the laptop) and (most of the time) a box of options comes up.
You want to click on "Copy Image address" "Copy Image source" "Copy Image Identity" Or something like that (Using just plain copy does not work sadly)
Then write on your profile page [img] [./img] (without the dot)
Now paist the image address/Image source/Image Identity between the middle two brackets [img]image address[./img] (Again without the dot) (But this time you can use the normal command past button if you want)
Make sure you save your profile now

does that work for adding pictures to threads, too?

Yep it does! If its an Image from this web site then you can skip strait to the copying part, as the image already has an internet identity.
