I mean hidden. Like in sand sculpting you add enriched sand you get 'hidden' traits.

So, in real genetics, Shayni would be correct, but on this site, 'hidden' and 'carried' traits mean two different things (though they are similar). Carried traits are in slots with no visible. You cannot tell that there is a trait at all in the slot unless the pet is genetically tested. Once the pet is tested, carried traits show up on the pet page in italics and on the advanced search in green. With hidden traits, however, things go a bit differently. Hiddens are traits that are 'hidden' (or carried, for those with genetics knowledge) under a visible (or dominant) trait. This means that you can see the visible trait quite easily on your pet, without any testing at all, but that visible trait isn't the only one in that trait slot. When you breed, offspring can receive either of the two traits that share that slot: the visible trait, or the hidden one. Similarly to the carried traits, you can't see that a pet has a hidden trait unless the pet is genetically tested. Once it is tested, you will be able to see the hidden trait in two places: on the advanced search (where the text for the trait will now be purple) and in the pet's image code, like this:
The qitari who's image code I'm using has visible Western Saddle in his Mutation 1 slot, but there's a hidden trait of Peacock Armor under that (C being the letter for Western Saddle and M being the letter for Peacock Armor). So any children he has will have an equal chance of getting either of those traits in their M1 slot.
As of now, there is no indication on a pet's profile page if they have a hidden trait, whether they are tested or not.
