I'm curious if anyone has a guide currently available about leveling and stat increases for Sylestis. For example, I have read this:
http://www.sylestia.com/forums/?t=109

Does each Sylesti have it's own 'base' or 'preferred'? For example, does the Morkko seem to do better with the Strength stat while the Aurleon does better with agility? I guess maybe like a pokemon aspect, Rapidash is known to have a high speed for the most part, while Rampardos has a higher base stat in attack...?

Or is this based more on whatever the owner likes to put their stats as?

I of course don't want to throw intelligence stats on a type of Sylesti that doesn't do well with magical damage anyway, when the stat would more benefit in the strength.

I guess the questions that would go with this, are the proficiencies working the same way, or example the Aurleon would benefit more with 'wind' attacks while the Sylvorpa might do better with water?

Do these stats that we're putting on the Sylestis have any difference with their offspring? (For example a stacked Health for Draeyl carrying on a higher base Health for future offspring)

Sorry for such a long question. And thanks in advance to anyone able to help out.

@Butterfly,

We debated having species be better at some things than others, but ultimately decided against it for two reasons.

The first is that it would have been much more complicated.

The second and main reason, though, is that we didn't want to force people to play with pets in specific ways. For example, if we made Morkkos superior at tanking, then every tank would be a Morkko. And if you wanted to have a tank for a tough boss fight, you'd be forced to use a Morkko. And we felt that would just be too restrictive.

So we decided just to give pets slightly different starting stats more for "lore" than for actual practicality. And basically everyone is free to build their pets however they want.

I hope this clears it up for you. Let me know if you have any other questions.
