Will my pets heal while in battle on their own?
If so how long do I wait?, I don't have any draughts or elixirs because I ran out while in battle and now I can't buy any due to battle restrictions, I am stuck on the same battle and my pets are nearly defeated, please help, the two bosses are two Vulnyxs Thunder and Bolt

My best advice for you is to let your pets die in battle and then remove them from your party for an hour or two and let them self regenerate.

Here is the Official News Post about the updated health regen tick. It runs so long as the pets aren't in battle, regardless of the zone you are in I believe.
If you need gold or healing items, send pets on missions. It will also get you equipment for your pets (just went and checked your battle team; you'll want to equip them some more stuff, not the least if you're trying to take on bosses)
(Skull Dragon and Amy should be able to demolish low level missions, especially if you stat them and equip them. Succeeding Exceptionally in missions (often happens if your pet's stats are high enough above the requirement baseline for mission completion) gets you two mission satchels)

If you've reached Esior's Haven, Here
Once players reach the Sanctuary of Saerielle they can also access that one too.
More mission slots (to a total of six) can be unlocked here in Esior and here in Saerielle

It depends on the mission difficulty (no other factor- just the difficulty) and it lists it next to each one:
