This may or may not have been answered before, but I don't want to hunt the forums, honestly... ^^; Anyway, when a pet is released, is it really in the wild? I mean can other players catch it? If not, I guess the reason for the previous owner tag on certain pet profiles is because the pet was traded or something.

@Mikokagome, the system doesn't put the released pets back in the wild, at least not yet. I'm not sure if Krin will later implement them to do so.

So released pets are pets simply unable to be traded and exist in stables. I guess it's easier to know where they come from if the previous owner is attached to their page.

I asked krin this a while back and he said no they don't (Like flute said)

But he also said he had no plans to make them available to other players in the future. So once you release it, its just gone. (you can still look it up but no one can own it again)
