I just collected a brewed Sylesti, and my third cauldron just disappeared, leaving me with the two we're given to begin with, though I had purchased one earlier in the festival.
Is this supposed to happen?

Huh, now that you mention it the same thing happened to me... Though I have no idea why

The cauldrons you purchase beyond your original two are one time use only
