Hello.

I know many of you are looking for maps. I will no longer be supplying them.

No, you do not need to PM me about them being broken. I am aware. They will remain that way.

I have moved on from Sylestia, and want my image hosting to be clear for future endeavors.

Thank you!

Thanks so very much, Tori! I really would love to know how you go about making maps, it is something I always wanted to know! Come the mega zone, I am going to try and make maps with notes!

I go around the map myself and get screenshots of each area, and then I piece it all together in one of my art programs piece by piece. When I have to edit things out - I go into the sites code to grab the individual tile piece, the artwork itself, so I can easily cover up what's out of place. This is mostly my avatar 39240932 times and the treasure/boss nodes for the blank maps.

Then I go and grab the individual tiles for treasure chests and egg spawns - and wait for co'ords to pour in. I get a lot from various sources haha. I'm always very grateful for the help with what I can't get myself. It's very much a group effort at that point.

It's just a lot of puzzle fitting - various areas overlap a ton, and you have to work on a grid to know where to place individual tile sets for covering errors. Plus sometimes you have to work filler if there's a blank spot on the map due to being unable to access it - there were a ton of gaps in the winterfest one i had to fill in myself with whatever I found suitable.

I'm really bad at explaining my processes, so sorry if this answer is just more confusing. x{ I'm eager to see what you come up with though! I plan on doing a map of the megazone myself as well, so it'll be interesting to see how the two compare. c:

Ahhh, most of it makes sense! I figured screenshots and piecing together, what art program do you use for that? The grid was what I was wondering about, are they in the art program, or is it something you figure on your own? I am hoping that when the Mega zone starts, that a coordinated effort would work for it as well! I don't usually do chat... I am much more a lurker, but for that I would definitely be in the thick of it!

Thanks so much for answering me! I very much appreciate all the work that went into the map and answering my question! :)

The specific program I use is Paint Tool Sai - I find it easier to line up things on it since it actually Doesn't have any instant snap-to-grid or anything that makes lining up the pixels difficult. The grid I use is one I've made entirely myself to match the size of the tiles of the map - so I know exactly where each tile ends and begins. it's a checkerboard pattern that sits on an overlay layer of the map as I work on it - here's a small example of the map with the grid on.

Understandable! A coordinated group effort would probably be best on the megazone. I like to lurk myself, but that's also something I'd be in the thick of it for.

Thank You!! I'm glad the work is always appreciated. I really love to make maps so I'm glad others can enjoy them as much as I do. x}

Oh no, no need to apologize at all! It is just a learning curve thing with me, I have to self teach myself just about everything! I have no basic art programs or grid techniques, so I have to teach myself! You have given me a start! If I get time, after the holidays, I will try to practice on the fest or some other area!

Thanks so much for your time and help!
