I have checked out the out the guide forum and the guide on breeding but just didn't see anything about this.
If I have a high level pet (something like level 50 or something) and breed it with another high level pet will the resulting offspring have better stats.
Just wondering on this since I have seen a lot of hatchlings with great stats but I was sure if this was linked back to the parents. Also, if the parents do pass down some stats at what level for the parents does this start happening?
Thanks

@Windkit,
I copy pasted this from general chat a while back.
Krinadon: Level doesn't affect stats, but offspring can be born higher than lvl 0
I'm not an expert so anyone correct me if I'm wrong on this. You can breed for better stats. Offspring can inherit a bit of the stats of a parent and can be improved on by philters. There's just not an influence from parents having higher levels. You can also improve the stats of an individual pet to some degree by it having nurtures but this does not pass to an offspring. I hope I have this right. I may not be completely correct.

@Savynn
Thank you for replying so quick. So if I understand the levels can't pass down but a little something of the parents (agility or strength or whatever) could pass to the offspring?

@Windkit, took me awhile, but I came to learn that...
When breeding pets, I believe it's the about the average between the two parents' base stats that determine what the offspring has. So even if the parents are all leveled up, only their base stats will be accounted for (aka the minimum stats that are there at 0 point allocation).
To increase that, you use philters from generation to generation to slowly raise the base stat for each offspring, the breed philtered offspring together, use a philter on their offspring, and so on.
