Hello! I'm fairly new to Sylestia. I've only played for a couple weeks but I've noticed that there are some hatchlings or some very beautiful pets that have been released, and I was wondering if there was some way to adopt them. (I'm sorry if I've put this thread in the wrong place please feel free to move it to the proper place, again I'm a bit of a newbie)

The only person who can adopt or reclaim those pets is the person who released them. If there is one you really want, you can try pm'ing them to see if they will reclaim the pet for you, however, it costs 50 diamonds to reclaim a pet so you'll probably have to cover that fee.

If you cannot buy diamonds with real money, you can save your gold and buy them off the currency exchange under the trade tab. Some people may also be willing to trade you gold equiv of the fee.

Some things to keep in mind:

-Sometimes people who have released a certain pet did so for a reason and are not always willing to reclaim and sell
-Sometimes a person may want an additional fee on top of the reclaim fee.

There is, but it's a bit of a roundabout way: first, you contact that previous owner (listed on the page of the released pet), and see if they are willing to retrieve the pet and sell it to you. If they agree to do so (and not everyone will, because pets are often released because they are part of project,s and the project runners do not want someone buying these pets that lead to their completed project and then redoing the project and profiting off of it. There are other reasons, but this is a big one for people not retrieving and selling), then you and the owner will come to an agreement on pricing. Usually the person that wants the pet will be responsible for the 50 diamond retrieval fee, and then whatever selling price the two of you agree to. After this, the seller will set up an exchange for the diamonds and retrieve the pet, then sell it to you for the agreed upon price. And that is how you adopt a released pet previously owned by someone else ^.^
