I couldn't seem to find this information in the FAQ topic...How do you earn Scales? What are scales? I'm interested in some of the things at the Scale shop, but am not quite sure if there's something special I need to do. Thank you for your time

Great question! Scales are earned by nurturing Egglings and Hatchlings. You can nurture Egglings and Hatchlings by visiting your Hatchery and clicking on the "Help Nurture Sylesties" button. You can then search and help nurture. Nurtured pets receive bonuses to stats and grow up faster.

For every pet you successfully nurture, you earn 1 scale. You can also sometimes find Essences while nurturing.

Oh, thank you. Is there a maximum number of nurturing you can do in one day? And can you only nurture each one once?

There is no maximum for the day. We try to stay clear of any of those types of restrictions, so we design all features around the possibility someone might play it all day long.

And yes, you can only nurture each pet once per 24 hours.

And in the next few days, we will be adding the ability to nurture pets via their Profile Page in case you want to nurture specific pets.

And to answer another possible question, no, you can't nurture your own pets. We assume you take care of them already
