In a parallel universe, the gem race is lead by 4 different diamonds, lead by Black Diamond (Called Midnight Diamond by her fellow diamonds) As the gem race progressed, more types of gems were created, and

Era 1: Midnight Diamond (Black diamond)
Era 2: Sunrise/Yellow Diamond (chest), Sunset/Red Diamond (Upper back) Daylight/blue Diamond (Chest)
Era 3: Starlight/White Diamond (Stomach)

Each Era lead to the creation of even more Gems, however, in Era 3, which was called the 'Age of prosperity' came to a tragic end when White Diamond was shattered on one of her colonies.

This, technically, was the truth, however, the reality of the story is much deeper. White diamond and her main pearl fell in love with Earth, and Starlight Diamond wanted to save it, so she staged a rebellion, breaking away from homeworld's grip on the planet pretending to be a Moonstone. Later, as she was living out her immortal existence on Earth, she fell in love, having twins. The other Diamonds have found recent crystal gem activity on Earth, which they had assumed were eradicated, and now knowing of their life, want revenge.

Black and the other Diamonds are still grieving over the lost Diamond, and after centuries, they discover that the leader of the murderer of their dear fellow diamond was still intact, and they want revenge.

Abilities: Her beam can cause mental instabilities in gems, causing them to become corrupt when her beam is combined with other gems. Her beam can erase minds of gems, and under special circumstances, she can possess them as long as she has permission. She can also read minds of lesser gems (Anyone not a diamond)

Appearance:
Personality: She acts emotionless and uncaring around her subjects with an aura of power and command. Around the other diamonds she used to be much more happy and sociable, even being nice to some of her most powerful minions, but after White was shattered, she become cold and closed off, not even talking to the other Diamonds. She mostly confides in her pearl.
Other: She has been against shattering gems ever since the incident with White, instead, she imprisons them in different contraptions, using them as tools (Like lapis in the mirror) She ordered the capture and re-purpose of all Moonstones, which are used as jewelry and decoration. She wears a necklace of moonstones, and when angry, she will release one or two before crushing them again and putting them back in her necklace.

With her Kitana, she can slice anything in half(except diamonds). She can make a shield, and a protective bubble that can shield her and anyone shes near from nearly anything. Her spit can also heal cuts, bruises, and cracked gems.

Personality: A really cheery person in general, but can be depressing at the same time. Has mother issues(obviously) and doesn't like talking about her or anything related to her. She's kind of a biased person in general, and really likes humans.
Appearance:
Like I said earlier, her Gem is located on her stomach. The humans seemed a bit bothered by it, so she usually wears a white coat or a long shirt to hide it.
Other: She likes fighting, and peace at the same time.
