Welcome to the Newbie Welcomers of Sylestia thread! Basically, we go around and try to welcome as many newbie players as we can as soon as they join, and just overall try to make them feel welcome. We give out gold, pets, avi items, advice.....Basically the Mentoring Service without the obligation smashed together with a pet giveaway, gold bank, the Free Egg group, and avi item bank combined in an attempt to reach players who don't really go on forums (Becasue even though many join each day, only a few actually post on the Introductions thread).

Ok, so on the thread I used to see if anyone was interested, there were a few questions I've decided to answer. So here goes (If I missed something, let me know ;D )

1. Anyone caught cheating on a newbie gets banned from the group (You can ban appeal, but most of the group has to agree, so double check anything you send-this rule isn't as lax as some of the others, and is here so newbies don't end up losing faith in us).

2. Regular Sylestia rules apply as usual.

3. If you don't know the answer, don't say "I don't know." (Yeah, I got ideas from Disenyland) Instead refer the newbie to someoen who knows the answer.


4. Try to post/PM me whoever you PM (IDs, please, and names if u realy want to) at least once now and then. (So we don't overflow newbies).


Q&A
1.Who qualife as a member?
Anyone, as long as they have the time and resources, plus a willingness to help!

2. Who qualifies as a newbie?
Anyone who's just joined within the week. I'll be making a list of who we've covered so newbies don't get confused by 20 people doing the same thing. If we've missed someone, just shoot them a PM and there you go!

3. How do I find newbies?
Two tried-and-true ways (Player intros are fine but not many people post within the timespan....)
A. During fests, go to that item giveaway thingy (ToT, stocking stuffer, etc.), type in Krinadon, then press the Back arrow.
B. Advanced search. Just type in random numbers. Not as good but it'll work.

4. What do I say?
Here's a copy-and-paste thingy I use, just create your own and use this for reference since everyone's got a different round:

Hi there! I'm Orca2Whale and I'm here to welcome you (Kinda obvious, but oh well ;D) I'm giving away avi items, gold, and pets, if you'd like some just let me know. Oh and if you have any questions, feel free to ask me or anyone else in the community on the forums-people here are really nice!

Just create your own mini message, and when you've got a response, just reply with something along the lines of "Feel free to ask any questions if needed" or something, Be creative-and if you know of a thread or someone who's better poised to answer or might help the newbie more!
