I've been giving my team physical damage stuff since I made them both have strength elements, but now I'm wondering if strength/intelligence can be used for both magical and physical



i played around with trying on different gear wether I add more strength or intelligence doesn't seem to change the damage, but I'm still curious

Strength is for Physical elements, Intelligence is for Magical elements.
The main modifier to attack damage output is the Relic.
The stat boosted by the proficiency Str/Int is always the one relevant to the element the pet is attuned to.


See: Celeste is an Air pet with a relic that has Magical Damage and Int, with 0 Str modifier.

Look at her stats and you see
"Physical Damage: 34
Magical Damage: 98"
As an Air pet, all her damage output is calculated from her Physical Damage- she makes no usage of the Magical Damage stat.

Slash does 150% Physical Damage
At the moment, that means she's doing 51 base damage.
If her relic was the same stat-wise but with the stats distributed for Strength+Physical Damage, her physical damage output would be 98, meaning her base damage output with Slash would be 147 instead.

-water
-wind
-earth pets

Intellegence is used for
-Fire
-light
-shadow pets
