Hello! I've returned to this game, I used to play 5 years ago. Crazy right? Anyways, I had a major question. Not sure if the fact my pets were born back in 2014 or something else, but almost all of my pets have the ability to be regenerated (recoloured as I please, even add new traits of my choosing), and I was wondering why, and if I traded them if they would retain the ability to be regenerated for free.
I can imagine selling a pet that can be regenerated by the buyer would be quite lovely and sell for quite a pretty price.
Not sure if it is a glitch due to the 5 year old pets (ID numbers are all below 1 million I may add)

If anyone knows the answer to these questions, please do reply. Thank you <3

Your pets have the ability to regenerate traits because they got revamped over the years also if tou sell them they still have the ability to regenerate traits if you are wondering they sell for a lot and if you dont mind I love designing regen pets so I was wondering if I could design some for you?

Regeneration isn't a glitch, it's the result of species revamps that altered trait slot assignments and the like (eg, ny'vene had a lot of muts split into two, head muts and body muts, and their genes split into body/runes/wings, and lupora had genes rearranged into body/mane/tips-and-runes, while their muts remained unaltered save lucky dust- lupora are the most recent revamp, and were the first ones to have unaltered trait slots locked))
Regeneration only applies to pets that existed prior to the species revamp (it cannot be passed on or instigated in pets that did not exist before then or which did not become regennable due to their traits not triggering it)

Regennable status cannot be removed save by regenerating the pet (but to fully answer I'm going to drop a link to our Guide To Regeneration, which should answer questions in more detail.)

Ah okay! Thanks a lot for the information, I'm glad it's not a glitch of any kind. It just seemed too good to be true lol. I appreciate the link to the forum page on regeneration, it explained things perfectly!
