I'm struggling with which equipment to equip to which pet. How do I tell which type of equipment to equip to a pet (what would be best)? I read something about equipping items to physical or magical pet types, or something, how do I tell which pet has physical/magical attributes, etc?

Whether a pet is Physical or Magical depends on their element, and what sort of gear depends on what their position on the team is and what stats you want to emphasise.

Physical elements are Water, Earth, and Air
Magical elements are Light, Shadow, and Fire

You always want to make sure that you equip a pet with a relic that corresponds to its damage type.

(When you give a pet a proficiency in the "Strength or Intelligence" it automatically adds it to the one that correlates with the pet's element. (and where it says "Recommended stats" it always mentions the one relevant to the type))


Water/Earth are primarily Tanks, so they generally have Assassin gear (Str/Agi)

Air is Attacker, so they get Myrmidon (Str/Dex)

Fire is Attacker, so they get Evoker (Int/Dex)

Light tend to be Healer, sometimes Tank, and they can go with either Evoker (Int/Dex) or Illusionist (Int/Agi), or a combo

Shadow is the most all-around type, but tends to be a Tanking element- leaning towards Illusionist gear, can use Evoker.

Thank you for the reply! I also read something about level up points, and having to spend them, but I don't see anything about level up points on my pets profiles?

Level up points no longer exist and all reference to them is outdated information- they and the old proficiency point system were overhauled into the new proficiency system.
