Please help! What happens when you run out of money? I'm completely out of gold and I can't make any more progress. There's no quests I can do either, the game stopped giving me any after the first town. I can't keep playing since you can't make money without progress and you can't make progress without money. Did I softlock the game? If so what do I do? I'm at a lose....

you can get money from battles, from selling equipment you aren't going to use, from chests found while exploring, from missions etc

(also you don't... really? need gold to progress? Especially once you work out that the Healers are a scam and that pets recover over time on their own)

Missions are generally considered the best way, and most people have at least five dedicated Mission Pets (pets entirely devoted to each of the five stats)
