like the other filters? just click the use button on pet prof page and you pick which slot you want to remove genes from

it depend of the type, those that boost stat can only be use on pets about to hatch, so once by pet but the ones like the nullificators or the amnesia ones don't have those limitations and can be used as long as neaded.
Each philter is usable once by item however witch mean that you will nead multiples of them if you want, by exemple, remove all the traits from a pet.
