I am new and I have a question about genetic testing. I purchased the Exception Genetic Test Kit and used it on an egg, but the gene's all still say Unknown? Can the kit not be used on eggs?

using a test kit on an egg reveals its species and its stats- Genes will be shown in their entirety as soon as a tested pet hatches.

You don't really need to test an eggling if you are going to be there to hatch it unless you want to know the stats beforehand- pet that you hatch via the hatching popup are automatically genetested upon hatching (if you leave an egg too long and it autohatches without your input 24 hours after it hits 72 hours, then you do have to manually use the genetester though)
