I've got two eggs, and I'm not sure how long they need to stay in the hatchery. . . if anyone could help out that would be great!

it take around 3 days, there is a progress bar in the genetic section and whis bar is full you have 24 hours to hatch it or it will pop out on it's own. Nurituring the egg will make the process go faster. ^-^

How would I nurture the egg? I'm a noob (literally started the game this morning) so I could use all the help I can get

simply go on it's profil and click on the picture of the egg, it and select the option that seem appropriated for the situation it will give you. You can only nurriture an egg once a day but here is a thread where you can post the link to your pet so people can go nurriture it as well. ^-^
