So I caught this cute bulbori and I would like to breed both her and a ligra of mine. But I don't know the best way to seek specific mates on this site? Other then randomly going threw stables. Any points tips or extra?

If you're looking for pets to breed with, you can select the desired parameters and search for pets up for breeding that fall under them

The best way is probably through the advanced search. Youre given two options: User Search and Pet Search. Pick the second of the two (obviously ;)). Once youve done that, a window with several options will come up, including species and gender. Highlight the option you want in the drop down menu for each one, and go from there. If you want to refine your search even more, you can add in pet age, pet type (Starter, Tamed, etc.), themed/non-themed (which includes a species-specific list of themes), and all the way down to gene location & specific trait, as well as whether you want the trait(s) in question to be visible, carried, or both/either.

I would definitely include some of the things I listed above in your search criteria. You dont want to spend gold, either as a breeding fee or to buy a pet/pets, only to learn the traits on the pet/pets you want to breed with or bought dont have visible traits that match up with the ones on the pet/pets of yours you want to breed.
