This will be my final attempt at keeping an art gallery. My will to do painting and drawing comes and goes but I'm really trying to get back into it. This'll most likely be a lot of character art and studies that have nothing to do with Sylestia but I'll try to do a Sylestia piece every now and then.

I'm absolutely open to critique! And I'm going to try to update at least once a month even if whatever I have is incomplete. I'm not looking to take commissions but if I already owe you art please let me know through private message along with the original agreement so I can finish them~ Thank you and I hope you enjoy my work~!



Above is a character I'm hoping to wrap up by the end of the week~ He just needs some minor adjustments made and then he's done. Colors are undecided for him still so I just stuck with monochrome.

Sorry don't got much to critique about it, if you rlly would like something and I'm being picky the closest arm looks a bit off, skinny maybe but dunno if that's a species thing, besides that though it looks like the shoulder is very big(not like bulging but looks farther away from the neck than the other shoulder? Actually nvm on closer inspection what I think looks off is the slope from neck to that shoulder but also noticed there is hair going over it)

You know those church windows? The wings for some reason reminded me of them, also I think rlly contrasting colors for everything else would look neat}

Avendare is meant to have a rather frail/willowy physique. If I were to describe him as a D&D campaign character he'd be a fae mage with a super low strength stat~ I'm still redoing the disaster that is his hair but I can see what it is that's throwing it off after flipping the image. (I actually might want to thicken the arm in the back a bit? I'm in that awkward zone of "is this considered stylized or bad anatomy" phase and I can never tell. TwT )

Stained glass is actually a really interesting concept~ I was going for bee/wasp wings when I started it and I did want to redo them from scratch so there's a high chance of that being a thing after I finish looking at dragonfly wing anatomy~

Oo I feel that, I'm trying to stick to very cartoony if I don't plan on being diligent on sticking to correct anatomy atm kind of phase or try too hard to get the anatomy right and it never is

Dude if you did stick to a bee they got that cute fluffy neck thing man if you were trying to stick to that theme, like maybe not for this character but if you had some plan with bees and wasps or somethin'(this dude seems more built like a wasp of the two)

His legs I think need to be like ummm gee I dunno rotated? To the right somewhat, just imagine a person, now rotate them, you get a different angle right? His legs are to straight, it looks like your viewing them from the front, while the body your viewing from the side-ish. Just a nitpick of mine ^-^ Just look at the armpit, obviously your viewing it from an angle or you wouldn't see that hollow. The legs are straight. Hope that makes sense.

I completely failed to draw something every month and I've also failed to continue working on what I had started. TwT I have however gone and gotten myself a new tablet and forced myself to take some requests in hopes of trying to get myself to draw again. Have a dragon.
