How can you get/earn gold? I need to buy more tabs for my stable as I don't want to sell any of my pets

The fall fest items usually sell decently and advancing in the storyline during the non fest season ays wells too

Missions are by far the best way to earn gold, especially considering they are passive and you can have them running while you do other things in the meantime. Grab some cheap pets on the adv search and toss them on the easy missions with gear you get from exploring, and they will equip themselves for most of the early missions until you can afford to get them better gear for the upper levels. (And by that point, gears going to be pretty much falling in your lap as well, depending where you are in the storyline) Sell what you dont use of the gear and potions, and its an easy gold mine. Just remember to assign their stats and assign them on missions based on that stat, or they'll fail the missions and it wont be much use. Longer missions nets more profit, by far, but require more stats.

Otherwise, I'd recommend exploring and selling excess gear drops. It can really add up early on. Make sure you keep what you need to keep your pets geared, but dont be afraid to sell the excess back to the game for some quick cash. Winter fest will be coming up soon, so take advantage of the fest zone when it opens. They are gold mines as well, especially if you sell any excess currency and materials you get.
