Open sesame.

Welcome to another of my very cringey roleplay games....

Endalla. A world brimming with magic, and in worlds like this, anything can happen if you have the creativity and skill to do it. The possibilities are infinite.
The world, however, is not. Go too far in one direction, and you'll hit the Ends. The place where the fabric of reality and magic unravel and tangle, where all manner of creatures, structures, and things beyond your wildest dreams are born, nightmares and dreams combined, and nothing is as it seems. Only the bravest of the bravest dare to venture into the Ends themselves - and none have ever returned.
Of course, this is none of your concern, unless you want it to be. After all, there's a whole world to check out first, if you wish, and you can do anything. From collecting stardust, studying End species, and exploring caves, to being a merchant, researcher, or explorer, the paths you can take are endless.

Rules

1. Narrator's word is law. Please don't argue with me. Arguing -> Irritated narrator -> Headache -> Death :D Yes, questions and stuff are fine if you think I did something wrong but don't be like, "Nuh-uh! Bobby didn't get hurt! That's stupid!"

2. You will most likely not interact with other players. However if you really want to, let me know and I can do that.

3. No overpowered characters, and no powerplaying, either. For example, "I dodge everything and land a fatal blow." I will warn you once or twice, but more than that and I shall kill you (mwahahaha).

4. You can die, but only if you make horribly stupid decisions. I don't want to kill you, of course, but I will if there's no way you can survive, for example if you're on fire and falling off a cliff onto spikes or something. If you do die, you can always sign up again, however.

5. I will be replying somewhat infrequently, so as not to bore you or me with repeated back-and-forths. However if I am in the mood and available to respond, I will mostly likely get back to you within an hour of your reply.

6. Please let me know if you change your username. Obviously I can figure it out myself, but just a "Hey Cana, this is me, ___" would be helpful.

7. If you're reading this, include a quote by your character in the 'Other' section of your sign-up form.

8. If I fail to respond to you within 4-5 days, ping me again. I may have forgotten. Although I may just not feel like replying because I'm lazy, tired, on mobile, etc. :P

9. Please quote/bold my last response in your reply, and ping me by clicking blue @ symbol in the bottom right corner of my post.

10. Inactivity after two weeks will probably get you kicked (if I realize you haven't been replying, that is). I will remind you if you haven't responded in awhile. If you're going on vacation or something and are unable to respond for awhile, please let me know in advance if you can't.

11. Please write at least two descriptive sentences in your response, and include an action if you can. If speaking, try to write more. Yes, I realize you may have writers block and you can't do it all of the time, but this gives me something to go on, and you'll probably get a better reply in return if your response is better.

12. Try to act in character. If you don't, there must be a reason. For example, if your character is meek and tries to avoid conflicts, they wouldn't immediately attack an antagonist unless their friend or something was in danger.

Magic
In Endalla, everyone has a certain form of magic, or rarely, none. Forms tend to run in the family, but there are, of course, exceptions. There are two ways to classify forms of magic.
Forms are either offensive or defensive. Of course, this is not black-and-white, and they can always be manipulated to be used for either.
They can also be classed as astral, physical, or mental. A physical form will always overpower, or 'beat' an astral. An astral will beat a magical, while magical will beat physical.

Life
Defensive ~ Astral
This form of magic is usually used for healing. Some are able to communicate with creatures and plants (although this is very unreliable), while others can animate lifelike objects (like a statue or painting of an animal, not a random brick). The most powerful users of this form are able to bring people back from the very brink of death, but once someone has gone all the way over, there's no coming back from that - except for undead, that is.

Death
Offensive ~ Astral
This form of magic is the opposite of life, and does not heal, only destroys. These people are able to raise the dead to create an undead army, that is entirely under their control and cannot function otherwise. Very powerful users of this magic can kill living things they touch, although this is an extremely complicated process, and the more intelligent and lively one is, the harder it is to use this power on them, and doing this can drag the user over as well. Wielders of this magic tend to make nearby people feel despair, even more so if they are trying to exert this, and plants they touch will wither.

Space
Defensive ~ Astral
This form of magic is most conveniently used to teleport the user and/or passengers to other places they have been before, as well as making a 'hole' in space to store objects or even living things. However, users can get creative and use this to hide, teleport people away, or dump stored objects onto people's heads.

Time
Defensive ~ Astral
This form of magic is very powerful and very rare, but highly unpredictable and dangerous. One can use it to slow down or speed up time by a small amount, or even go back a short time, usually only a few seconds - the longer, the more exponentially difficult. The most powerful of these wielders can slow it down enough so that it is almost impossible to track their movements, but only for a second or two, but no one has ever succeeded in bringing it to a complete stop - not that the public knows of, that is - which is probably for the best.

Shadow
Defensive ~ Astral
This form of magic can be used to hide people in darker places by wrapping shadow around them, or to cover someone's eyes with darkness. People with this form of magic may be able to dissolve into shadows and become intangible in dark areas, as well as shape them and shroud an entire room with darkness. If one is powerful enough, they can even make shadows tangible, which can serve as a weapon or tool with lasting negative effects for those unwanted who touch it. This form, of course, is much more helpful in dark areas, so its wielders tend to prefer darker places.

Light
Offensive ~ Astral
This form of magic can be used to illuminate an area, usually by way of floating lights that can be held in the wielder's hand and controlled however they wish. These lights can also be used to blind people temporarily, or to make an enemy dizzy by flashing on and off, which is helpful to distract someone in order to make a getaway or attack. It is possible to dissolve into light, but this is more difficult than shadow as light illuminates, not hides. Powerful wielders can solidify light into an object that can possibly even burn those who touch it. In light, especially sunlight, users of this form feel energized almost like a battery, and their magic is more powerful.

Fire
Offensive ~ Physical
This form of magic is the rarest of the physical forms. Wielders of this have the ability to create flames and control them. If a user loses control, they may accidentally set themselves and everything else on fire. Whoops. They are immune to the hottest temperatures and rarely get cold. Fire naturally burns everything but the user, but one can prevent others from getting burned with enough concentration. More powerful users can spark flames from across a room without touching the object, or cause an entire table to go up at once just by looking at it. This is said to be one of the most draining forms.

Water
Defensive ~ Physical
This form of magic is very versatile. Water form users can do a range of things like purifying water, shaping it, pulling water vapor from the air, and they have a little control over rain. The more powerful ones have abilities extended to ice, and they can create huge tidal waves and even force a river to flow backwards. Most must have a good water source nearby, or they will feel weak. Being near a huge body of water, however, poses risk if they cannot control themselves.

Air
Offensive ~ Physical
This form of magic is often used by the wielder to fly. While doing so, they can bend the winds to their command to steer or knock enemies out of the way. This is also helpful for blowing scents away so the user will not be detected by smell. In addition, some can summon storms, although this is very draining. It is also possible, if the wielder is powerful enough, to create a tornado that destroys everything in its path, which can make the user lose control.

Earth
Defensive ~ Physical
This form of magic is very stable, although like everything else, it can get out of hand if not controlled properly, or if the wielder is not focusing. Wielders can cause small earthquakes, and shape rocks as well as the ground to their liking, including making a shield, and possibly making the ground liquid-like, much like quicksand, to trap people. Very powerful users can make the ground open up and swallow things whole, or, you know, very convenient for burials if you're on the run.

Matter
Offensive ~ Physical
This form of magic can be used to change the world around you. Users of this can shape and bend the matter around them, or fuse two things together to create something new. A less-used and more difficult aspect is being able to walk through solid obejcts and liquids without hindrance, although sometimes this 'glitches' causing the wielder to get stuck or have difficulty becoming solid again. Some say that using this too much will cause one to be eternally intangible and advise against it.

Sound
Defensive ~ Mental
This form of magic can be used by the wielder to stun foes, although it's likely to affect everyone in a certain radius instead. It can also be used to lure someone away, or manipulate what someone is hearing, which can cause mistrust of allies. A more complicated but powerful technique is using this to put someone to sleep, or even drive one to insanity, so do not underestimate users of this form.

Sight
Defensive ~ Mental
This form of magic messes with people's perception of the world through sight. Wielders can create illusions or change someone's view of the world so that they do something dangerous, like walking off a cliff because they do not see it. It can also be used to hide the user and others, and the more powerful the user, the more realistic these illusions will be. However, they cannot be felt or heard, only seen.

Dreams
Offensive ~ Mental
This form of magic is not to be taken lightly, even if it can only affect people while they sleep. Users can haunt and terrify others with endless nightmares, or give someone a deep, dreamless sleep. It is even possible to make someone fall asleep at the most inconvenient time, although this usually requires physical contact and concentration. There are legends of extremely powerful wielders who could make things such as injuries from dreams carry over into reality, although this has never been confirmed or witnessed in recent history.

Mind
Defensive ~ Mental,
This form of magic is is the rarest of all. Wielders can read minds and emotions, and some have some form of premonition. In addition to this, the stronger ones can manipulate people's minds, causing them to do things they normally would not do, potentially lethal like drinking poison or killing someone close to them, and too much of this has the potential to drive both the user and the victim insane. Because of this, users of this form are widely untrusted and have to deal with much suspicion aimed at them on a daily basis..

Regions
*skips off to name generator*

Shaynia
A rural area with more creatures thamn people, dominated by plains and the occasional forest. Most people here live rather isolated, with livestock and such, and no running water. It is a very peaceful place and people who live here are good at making do with what they have.

Ardan
This mountainous area is known for its cold, harsh, winters, with little life. The people here are skilled at surviving in the harshest climates, although some say their personalities are as icy as the place they live.

Wehana
An area smack dab in the middle of the 'Great Forest', as it is known, although a big part has been cut down to make room for the expanding population. It is a busy place for traders and merchants, although the people here haven't completely forgotten the ways of the wild.

Edrix
Known as the place on land geographically closest to the Ends, it consists mainly of librarians, researchers, scientists, and their children, the only ones who would live on this barren, volcanic island.

Veylon
The jungle that makes up most of this area is home to species of all kinds, and the people living here belong to over twenty tribes, who build their homes in the trees and live off the land. They do not have much contact with people from outside this region.

Tesmium
This city/region is home to all of the greatest inventors and scientists that are not currently stationed at Edrix, and as a result it enjoys the most advanced technology in the world. The wealthy flock here from all corners to live in the lap of luxury.

Asmari
A beautiful seaside place, it's best known for its pearls and other sea treasures thst lfascinate people who have never seen the ocean in all its glory. It attracts many visitors every year with both its location and the friendliness of the locals.
