Summer is coming up and I have two weeks off from school due to Covid-19 so I figured I'd gather a list of things I'd like to read! How wrogn I was, I had the rest of the school year at home and did absolutely no reading. I've read five books within a month (3 this week) though so I guess I'm gettign back into it

I'm open to any and all suggestions, just leave the title and a little description and I'll consider it

- Current List -
-- my heart and other black holes
-- a list of cages
-- all the bright places
-- to kill a mockingbird
-- pride and prejudice
-- the catcher in the rye
-- the title got censored but it's the whale one :P
-- little women
-- the picture of dorian gray
-- of mice and men
-- a tale of two cities
-- the scarlet letter
-- the grapes of wrath
-- emma
-- the secret garden I just realized I read this in 5th grade but I'd like to reread it
-- ziggy stardust and me
-- navigating early

I really wanna read some classics but I also like the sad books

Also, I'll ad some suggestions in case anyone wants any!
Still in progress because I have drawers of books to read the backs of to remember what happened in them

-- The Scourge really dramatic, I don't really know how to describe it because I read it in fourth grade
-- Between Shades of Gray Made me cry, I don't recommend reading in class unless you know you won't cry. Set during World War II
-- A Night Divided Really good book, full of action and suspense. Set during World War II
-- Chime Made me cry; also very suspenseful
-- Legend
-- The Wind In The Willows I'm embarrassed to say I haven't actually read more than a chapter in this book but from what I had read it's really good
-- The Left Behind series Religion based, I didn't think I'd like them but I'm on the 8th book of the series already
-- One For Sorrow Oh my gosh, 10/10 would recommend! Set in an older time (1918) and talks about the deadly Spanish influenza pandemic
-- The Book of Blood and Shadow VERY SUSPENSEFUL
-- Grenade I cried, you might cry. Yet another World War II book
-- First Light If you like The Giver you'll like this. No questions asked
-- The One and Only Ivan This one is more for kids but it impacted me so much
-- The Giving Tree Did you have a childhood if you havent read this?
-- Where the Sidewalk Ends see above
-- Wine To Water I forgot a lot about this book but it was a gift and I know the book made me cry at least once
-- The Boy Who Dared Again, a World War II book. The main character is not a Jew which is uncommon for these books, I think
-- Destined To Live Written by a holocaust survivor. Set in WWII; made me cry
-- Projekt 1065 Set in guess where! World War II. Super sneaky spy stuff, very nice but emotional
--City of Ghosts Paranormal stuff, very interesting
-- Time Bomb Definitely made me cry, really interesting topic actually. You guys thought it wouldn't be another WWII book didn't you? Well it's set a few years after and is tied in with WWII so you thought wrong
-- The Darkest Hour Another World War II book, about girls fighting to take Hitler down
-- Making Bombs For Hitler ANOTHER WWII BOOK. My friend and I swear it's a good book though. We might have an obsession with history...
-- The Witch of Blackbird Pond Really suspenseful and, yet again, is based in the past
-- Distant Waves A book on the Titanic, yet another historic book. I love it though ^-^
-- The Lightning Queen Don't get me started. It made me cry the majority of my time reading it. It ruined me but is such a wonderful read. The ending had me sobbing
-- Shadow
-- The Hired Girl Based off of the author's grandmother's journal; makes me want to travel back in time
-- A Northern Light Set in the early 1900s, deals with murder and is suspenseful
-- The Outside Paranormal activity (Vampires) and a girl who was shunned from her Amish community
-- Winterling Action packed
-- Hollow City You know the movie about Miss Peregrine's home for peculiar children? Yep
-- Everlost From when I was obsessed with paranormal activity type stuff. Two kids stuck in limbo after dying in a car crash
-- Counting By 7s
-- Inside Out and Back Again
-- The Hate U Give The way I gasped when I finally understood what the title meant, oh man. Made me cry as well, 10/10

Is it possible to want to read every suggestion that you listed? Of Mice and Men I'd say was a worthwhile read, ping me once you have! Also going to be reading a few titles of your list soon by coincidence, can't wait to get started.

I'd recommend Night by Elie Wiesel, it's his memoir of being a Jew during the Holocaust. My description sounds boring but it's just ahhh I can't explain it. I'd recommend it to anyone with an interest in reading but especially you. I finished it cover to cover in one go because I was so engaged by it.

Wings of Fire?
Wings of Fire is a series of fantasy novels written by Venezuelan-American author Tui T. Sutherland. The novels are set in the fictional dragon-inhabited continents of Pyrrhia and Pantala, and chronicle the quests of young dragons to fulfill prophecies.

My classmate is reading it; she says she doesn't enjoy it very much.

I think I've tried to read it before but it hasn't quite grabbed my attention
