In my profile or in general, how do I link a players account? I know how to do it normally with the entire code, but is there a way to get a link to someone's account that only says their username?

I'd rather it just say the username than the entire link

how do you link a pet with her in the place of the petid

It's the exact same thing, except you're using the pet's link and name instead of the person's.
