Saw a pure black(not themed) Sylvorpa and it was 1,750,000 gold. No good stats either. Do people actually buy that?

The short answer is no, but some newer players have issues with understanding the value of some pets. My guess would be that the owner eather made a mistake while setting the price (it can happen on mobil) or is basing itself off of another site where pets have more value.
It is also possible that the pet in question is a pre-regen wild and/or with a good amount of TP avalable, if it's the case the price of that pet is justifiable. ^-^

agree with cian. I've accidently sold stuff for really low or high prices (that was not fun :P) and stuff
I wouldn't say an all-black vorpa is bad though. I'd buy if it had the clownfish traits or something, I like all-white or all-black pets for some reason but I only have on white lupe so far :(
but yea 1m for that kidn of pet isn't relaly normal....

For the most part, no. I can only think of a few very specific situations that this would be applicable. Really, just one or two.
1. Low Digit ID.
This boy (though I didn't pay too much for him, comparatively) is a 5-digit. The two four-digits for sale are 100 million or above...yeah, above most of our pay grades. These would be valuable because they are...very limited. There are only 9 one digits (we won't be getting any) 90 two-digits, 900 threes, 9000 fours...and most are released or inactive. Five-digits range from 150k to 9mil, and the price drops very steeply when you get to six-digits, the lowest for sale sitting comfortably at 20k-30k. (Note: if you want tamed low-digits, prepare to shell out perhaps ten times the lowest price listed.)
2. Originally Owned by an Admin.
Cute, but absolutely nothing special about her aside from the fact she was originally owned by Krinadon (player ID 1, the coder for the site). Usually admin-originated pets are specifically designed for festival contests (from 3-6 per event) and thus very limited, and I felt it was odd that this lady would be up for sale for 1.5 mil, seeing as the admins rarely sell their pets. So it's another level of rarity, though both are very impractical.
This 0vis untested luff I wouldn't pay 1.5 mil for, though.
...1.2 mil at the most. now if it were a lune that would be a different story, but personal preference.

Some people also put their pets at huge prices for attention and so that if some rich player comes along they can buy it if they want. Of course, nobody would want to buy that. Would they?
