Ok..I have a bit of a silly question (considering I've been here for five years) but..when I buy an egg from the scale shop..aside from the exorbitant price, how do I ascertain whether or not it is really a "Legendary" or otherwise type?

Legendary eggs will be 1900+ scales. The higher the scale cost the more visible traits the pet will have. You'll have to test the pet if it has carried traits to see what they got.

Well the eggs I have in the hatchery were quite pricey but aside from that there is no other labeling to know if it really is Legendary? Strange that my account overview doesn't show I purchased them.
Anyway...thanks

It won't tell you that they're legendary. :) One knows they're legendary because they'll be a tamed pet with 6 trait points before mutation~ Account overview doesn't keep track of scales but that's something that could be recommended when the scale shop gets an update. Also, that is a beautiful Sylvorpa! Grats! :D

Trait Points?
Umm..where is that shown? Is that the same as the genes because my Sylvorpa only has two genes.
Sorry but I don't usually deal with such stuff so that is why I sound so dopey.

Yup~ trait points. (carries = 1 trait point, visibles = 2 trait points)
You can tell by looking at the traits listed on the pet's profile page. Your Sylvorpa only shows two visible traits because it hasn't been genetically tested yet. Getting it genetically tested will also show if it has any hidden traits behind the visible traits.
(No apologies needed. You learn by asking and being answered~)

Well..I just tested it and it has three so I spent all those scales for a pet that is not a 'Legendary' (It was 2,000 or so scales) and my other egg was just as expensive so I hope I wasn't scammed again.

That is a legendary. Legendaries at most will have three visible traits before mutation. They will either be 6-carries (1 vis, 5 carry after nullification philter and GGM), 1 vis, 4-carry (can be made into 2 vis, 4 carry with a GGM), 2 vis, 2 carry (can be made into a 3-vis, 2 carry with a GGM) or 3 vis (can be made into 4-vis with a GGM).

Scale shop data here.
Is this the vorpa in question? If so, it has three visible traits, and six trait points, and is indeed legendary. Not a scam.
