I have enough gold to buy a full party of max stats, considering that they're generally 250k each. However, before I go ahead and do it, I want to know - is it really worth having a max stat party? How much of an edge do they really give you when battling, especially once I get to the Lost Grove? Would you recommend me getting them or not?

I would recommend getting them ^-^ they defeat enemies a lot easier
A lot of people just prefer not to use max-stats though

There is quite a few max stats in the 150k range if you are not too picky on colorations or amount of mana. There are a few sylestian that dont use them but they make the transition easyer in the lost grove as there is a large difference in term of difficulty between it and astryl's tranquility. ^-^

Some info is based off of what I have seen and know about some of the max stat sellers, but if you look at all the pets available to buy Im sure you could probably get at least a super stat and two max stats on your team

You missed me! XD But I only breed on demand and tend to have higher prices, so... XD (and only have max one max stat neph pair and one max stat nixi pair, so not a lot of options yet either XP)

@OP: as everyone else has said, max stats are not *necessary*, but the sharp increase in difficulty when you hit the Lost Grove really does make them worthwhile if you don't want to constantly be reviving pets (just semi-constantly XD)

the valentine lace aeri are at 600k not 650k (and i take items as well) but yea, those can be a bit pricy for new buyer, glad you like them ^-^
